More than 35,000 people marched up Fifth Ave. on Monday in the Columbus Day parade. Gov. Andrew Cuomo attended, pressing the flesh and gathering votes. Unfortunately Jersey Shore’s Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino could not be there. Mike is marching to jail for eight months for tax evasion. “I don’t drink. I don’t do drugs. I don’t cheat.” I don’t know about that last one, Mike. The situation was different for Mayor de Blasio. Given a Bronx cheer last year, he passed saying, “I’m in the middle of doing my workout. I can’t do this now.”

More cheering in The Bronx on Tuesday. Game 4 pits CC Sabathia against Rick Porcello. The Red Sox starter exits a 17-win campaign but has a 7.56 ERA in two postseason outings for Boston.
