Starting Wednesday — live from Madison Square Garden — the Big East men’s basketball tournament will begin with No. 8 Xavier vs. No. 9 Butler at 4:30 p.m. EST on Fox Sports 1. The first round wraps up with No. 10 DePaul taking on No. 7 St. John’s and a 6-11 matchup between Seton Hall and Georgetown.
The Wednesday Big East tournament games will be announced by Tim Brando, Bill Raftery, and Kristina Pink. Gus Johnson will join the broadcast crew for FS1 starting Thursday.
The tournament will conclude on Saturday with the championship game followed by the all-important, Selection Sunday for the NCAA Tournament. Every team has dreams of punching its ticket to the Big Dance.
