Trainer Barclay Tagg’s Nobiz Like Shobiz, making his first start at Aqueduct since he won the Nov. 25 Remsen by 6 ½ lengths, is rated the 7-5 morning-line favorite breaking from post 1 under Cornelio Velasquez for Saturday’s Grade 1, $750,000 Wood Memorial. The mile-and-an-eighth Wood is New York’s last major prep for the May 5 Kentucky Derby.

The Biz’ chief opponent was expected to be Circular Quay, winner of the March 10 Louisiana Derby, but trainer Todd Pletcher decided Circular Quay won’t race again until the Kentucky Derby. Instead he will start Any Given Saturday, beaten a nose last out in the March 17 Tampa Bay Derby by last year’s 2-year-old champion, Street Sense. Pletcher also entered Gotham winner Cowtown Cat, but that colt is likely to run in Saturday’s Illinois Derby.
