“I’m like a rookie walking onto the court for his first NBA game,” Powell said yesterday after announcing his professional debut, a junior middleweight brawl on the David Tua-Michael Moorer undercard at Trump’s Taj Mahal in Atlantic City.
A product of Prospect High School, Powell signed with DiBella Entertainment, an agency rich in local fighters.
The Brooklyn-born pug grew up across the street from Mike Tyson. He will also appear at the Aug. 30 “Black Tie Boxing” event in midtown.
