Florida State coaching legend Bobby Bowden has tested positive for COVID-19.

The 90-year-old Bowden told the Tallahassee Democrat that he “feels good” and will be retested Monday.

“I don’t feel bad, yet,” Bowden told the newspaper. “I guess I can loaf around the rest of the week.”

According to the report, Bowden tested positive following a roughly two-week hospital stay for a leg infection after he had cancer spots removed.

Bowden added that he is the only person in his immediate family who has tested positive for the virus.

Bowden coached at Florida State from 1976 through 2009, leading the Seminoles to national championships in 1993 and 1999. He previously coached at West Virginia from 1970 to 1975.

Bowden’s 357 coaching victories rank second all-time among Division I head coaches, behind only Joe Paterno’s 409.
