Bologna, one of the most storied clubs in Italian soccer history, won promotion to Serie A on Sunday after beating Pisa 1-0 at home in Serie B’s final round of matches.

The seven-time Serie A champs return to the top division following a three-year absence.

Chievo Verona, who clinched promotion last Sunday, secured the Serie B championship after a 2-2 at home to Bari.

Lecce, Albinoleffe, Brescia and Pisa must now play a four-team playoff to determine the final promotion place.
