The blizzard that pelted the metropolitan area with more than a foot of snow did a number on several local boys basketball teams. Wings Academy and Blessed Sacrament were supposed to go to the Ronald Curry Invitational in Hampton, Va., but that didn’t happen. Same for Xaverian, which didn’t make it to Cactus Jam Hoop Classic in Phoenix, Ariz. But several other teams did make it out and though the start of the Aviator Holiday Hoops Tournament was pushed back a day until tomorrow, it promises to be very interesting.

I will be a few hours north of the city in Binghamton, N.Y., for the 19th annual STOP-DWI Holiday Classic and will be keeping tabs on the entire city, so keep this page bookmarked for frequent updates.
