Boys & Girls has reached the last two PSAL title games, only to get blown out by Lincoln both times. Yesterday, the Kangaroos got a small dose of revenge, beating the defending champions, 71-61.

“As long as the game’s not at the Garden, we’re OK,” Boys assistant coach Elmer Anderson said after the win on the Kangaroos’ home court in Bed-Stuy.

Tyler Young scored 11 of his 17 points in the decisive fourth quarter for Boys (9-4, 6-1 PSAL), while Lincoln (7-4, 5-1) got 35 from Lance Stephenson.

“Our kids feel like they belong,” Boys head coach Ruth Lovelace said. “We’re not going to lay down for anyone. Other people lay down against them.”
