The thick wall of ice that seemed to be standing in the way of Jet TE Kyle Brady signing a new contract with the Jets seems to be thawing. Brady, who had career highs in receptions (30) and TDs (5) this season, said yesterday he’s optimistic that he’ll re-sign with the team.

Brady’s representative, Michael Clouser, said yesterday that he met with Parcells and Mike Tannenbaum, the Jets’ financial specialist, on Monday, but he said he’d prefer “not to comment on it until after the playoffs.”
