Holiday greetings from reader James Durda. An 86-year-old man went to his doctor. Asked how he was feeling, and the senior said, “Great, I’ve never felt better. I have a 20-year-old bride who is pregnant with my child. What do you think about that Doc?”

He considered the question and began to tell a story.

“I have an older friend, an avid hunter. One day, in a bit of a hurry, he picked up his walking cane instead of his gun. He neared the lake and came across a large male beaver sitting at the edge. He realized he’d left his gun at home and couldn’t shoot the creature. Out of habit he raised his cane, aimed it as if it were his hunting rifle and went, ‘Bang bang.’ Miraculously two shots rang out and the beaver fell over dead. Now what do you think of that?”

The elderly man said, “Logic would suggest that somebody else pumped a couple of rounds in that beaver.”

Doc said, “My point exactly.”

Happy Fathers’ Day!
