ABSTRACT:

There is nothing quite as uplifting as watching the greedy bums who have destroyed our sports begin to get theirs.

Gosh, I hope you’ve been following this International Olympic Committee payola scandal as it unfolds because it’s becoming one of those rare cases when the bad guys of sport get outed.

Just Friday, the president and vice president of the Salt Lake Organizing Committee resigned, acknowledging that tens of thousands of dollars in cash bribes had been paid to IOC delegates in exchange for thier vote to approve Salt Lake City as the site of the 2002 Winter Games.

Friday, the IOC’s 88-year-old longtime president, Juan Antonio Samaranch, said from his native Spain that he regrets what has happened, but, “We all want things to return to normal as soon as possible.”
