Former world heavyweight champion Shannon Briggs tonight will headline the first boxing card presented by his new promotional company, The Empire Sports and Entertainment, at Capitale on the Lower East Side.

“Capitale Punishment,” as the card is being billed, will feature Briggs (49-5-1, 43 KOs) against Dominique Alexander (19-8-1, 9 KOs) in the main.

Also on the card is light heavyweight Seanie Monaghan of Long Beach, N.Y., who is making his professional debut.
