The world of difference between the Golden Globes and the Golden Gloves is much more than a single letter.

If you’re of Irish and Mexican descent and can flawlessly pull off 4-inch heels while discussing your plans to pummel somebody, you’ve mastered the craft of mixing worlds.

All of the above is why The Bronx’s Maureen Shea was chosen to make her “Broadway Boxing” debut this Friday in the first women’s fight in the show’s two-year history.

The card, presented by Turning Stone Resort and Casino, returns to the Grand Ballroom at Manhattan Center on Friday night with a full slate of New York’s top pugilists.

Headlining is Spanish Harlem’s Edgar “El Chamaco” Santana (17-2, 12 KOs) vs. Tomas Barrientes (27-9-1, 17 KOs) in a 10-round junior-welterweight bout.

At a 140 pounds, Puerto Rican-born Santana, 26, is riding a streak of 12 straight victories.

“We’ve come a long way,” Santana said of his team’s rise. “This is my eighth time fighting for DiBella, and we always fought first or second, so to be headlining, it’s a long way.”

Santana is trained by Hector Roca, who also trains Shea and had her sparring against actress Hillary Swank for four months in preparation for “Million Dollar Baby,” Clint Eastwood’s Academy Award-winning boxing tale.

“She sells tickets, has a big following in both the Irish and Latin communities,” DiBella said of Shea, whom he signed after seeing her fight on the John Duddy St. Patrick’s Day card.

Shea (5-0, 3 KOs) a former Golden Gloves competitor who turned pro last August, is scheduled to go six rounds against Kimberly Colbert of Atlanta (2-10-1, 2 KOs).

Shea said she believes her work with Swank helped lead the way to her current opportunities.

“Her hard work really helped people fall in love with [women’s boxing] a little bit,” Shea said of Swank. “People not only saw the movie behind the scenes, but they got to see me behind the scenes. . . . I’m just glad I could be a good representative [for women’s boxing].”
