It seems Brooks Koepka did not want to make the same mistake twice.
After the golfer was dragged on social media for rejecting kisses from girlfriend Jena Sims during last month’s PGA Championship, Koepka, 29, gave his lady love a peck on Sunday before teeing off at the US Open.
“The kiss has happened! The kiss has happened,” Joe Buck exclaimed jokingly on Fox.
Despite the good luck smooch from Sims, Koepka fell short in the tournament, finishing second with a 10-under par. Winner Gary Woodland ended the event with a 13-under par.
“It was a great four days,” Koepka said. “I gave it my all. Sometimes like this week and Augusta, it’s not meant to be. I hit every shot I wanted to. Sometimes no matter how good your good is, it’s not there.”
