The Knicks and Nets pursuit of the No. 8 seed in the Eastern Conference just got a lot easier.

The Bucks, who currently own the final playoff spot, lost leading scorer Michael Redd for the rest of the season with torn ligaments in his left knee. Redd, who was scoring 21.2 points per game, said he was “deeply disappointed” in a team statement.

The Nets are ½ game behind Milwaukee, while the Knicks are two games behind and tied with the Bobcats.
