IRVING – Neither team is apologizing for meeting in the NFC wild-card playoff game today at Texas Stadium. Not the Cardinals, who took advantage of a soft schedule and a weak division, not the Cowboys, who benefited from the same in winning the NFC East.

“We didn’t back into the playoffs,” said Cardinals center Mike Devlin. “We finished 9-7, and the way things panned out, we deserved to be in. Still, it didn’t matter how you get in. Just that you’re in. And you know what? We might be the team that gets the Cardinals’ organization on a roll for years to come.”
