How ironic would it be if Dave Checketts lands the YES Network before James Dolan, the man who fired him as Garden president.

The Post has learned that Checketts is attempting to land the Yankees network for JetBlue, with negotiations already under way. Since leaving the Garden a year ago, Checketts has spent time working as a board of director for JetBlue – put in charge of JetBlue’s 24-channel satellite broadcasting package that makes the discount airline unique.

Checketts said YES is a perfect fit considering the airline is New-York-based. YES has remained elusive to Cablevision, shutting out a few million viewers from the 130 Yankee telecasts and various sport-talk shows. So customers held hostage by Cablevision may have to fly to Florida just to catch a Yankee game on TV this season.
