“His fastball was working today,” St. Francis Prep coach Bro. Robert Kent said.

John Liquori gave St. Francis Prep, which has won three straight since opening the season with back-to-back league losses, a 1-0 lead in the fourth inning with an infield hit, but Holy Cross (2-3) tied the game with a leadoff home run in the bottom of the seventh.

St. Edmund Prep (1-4) scored six runs in the seventh and had the bases loaded when Molbury, the starting catcher, moved to the mound and earned the save after the Ford bullpen imploded.

Regis 4, Archbishop Stepinac 3: Kevin Ames allowed three runs in the second inning and then settled down nicely, reliever Ed Kelly tossed two innings of scoreless relief to get the win as Rob Mohen scored on a double steal in the bottom of the ninth for Regis (4-0) Sunday afternoon.
