U.S. men’s national team head coach Bob Bradley has yet to sign a new contract for beyond 2010, but multiple sources have refuted recent reports claiming the soccer coach resigned or been fired, FOX Sports reported Friday.

Several reports have claimed that Bradley is stepping down as U.S. coach, with some U.K.-based reports claiming he was already accepting the managerial position with Aston Villa of the English Premier League. Both U.S. Soccer and Bradley’s agent have categorically denied that Bradley has made any such moves.

“All these reports that are coming out saying Bob is quitting (as U.S. national team head coach) are absolutely false,” said Ron Waxman, Bradley’s New York-based agent.

“Not sure where this stuff comes from but none of it is true.”

U.S. Soccer spokesman Neil Buethe also shot down the speculation, stating that Bradley’s status with the national team has not changed and Bradley was expected to meet with U.S. Soccer president Sunil Gulati next week to discuss his future.
