Center Connor Voss, a 7-foot-1 standout from Minnesota, verbally committed to Columbia on Wednesday after visiting the Ivy League school over the weekend.
The senior, who was also being recruited by Davidson, Holy Cross, South Dakota, Seattle and San Francisco, led Cathedral High School to a 24-6 record last year and a berth in the 5AA finals.
Voss will join head coach Kyle Smith’s program, which is coming off back-to-back 15-win seasons, the most for a Columbia coach since Lou Rossini in 1950-52. Voss brings size to an already big team that will feature 6-foot-10 center Cory Osetkowski, 6-foot-9 forward Skylar Scrivano and 6-foot-8 forwards Samer Ozeir, John Daniels and Zach En’Wezoh.
