Dalton continues to be queens of the Ivy League.
The Tigers girls track team won its third straight outdoor league crown at Icahn Stadium on May 20. Dalton scored 157 points, Trinity was second with 120 and Hackley was third. The Manhattan school lost 84 points to graduation from last year’s championship meet. It scored in every event except for the long jump and won just three events.
“This was a very special win for the girls team,” Dalton coach Doug Feinberg said. “To know what we lost to graduation, and to see how every girl on the team stepped up and had a stellar day validates that we are a very good program. The group continued the tradition that was started five years ago when we won our first Ivy League championship. I couldn’t be prouder of them as a coach.”
