Deion Sanders provided an upbeat update a day after reports of a health scare made waves.
The Colorado head coach took to X Wednesday morning to let the world know that “everything is OKAY and will continue to be so.”
Sanders has reportedly been dealing with an unknown health issue. He’s been home in Texas and absent from recent contract-stipulated summer football camps and missed an event Sunday that he was scheduled to be the keynote speaker for.

While the Buffaloes’ head coach didn’t offer any specifics Wednesday morning in his X post, those details should be coming soon.
“I’m excited to get back to Colorado to be at home with my staff, team & all associated to our program,” he wrote. “When we arrive back to Boulder you will be updated on everything … Until then, I’M COMING BABY.”
Sanders has struggled in the past with blood clots and ailments arising from them.
In 2021, he had two toes amputated due to blood clotting and, in 2023, he received an emergency surgery to treat persistent blood clots.
The 57-year-old NFL legend is typically quite present in the media, but he’s made just one appearance since April’s draft, where he was alongside his son, Shedeur.

“Yeah I don’t know what’s going on,” he said. “I’m not here to talk about Pops and them. I’m here to be the quarterback of the Cleveland Browns.”
His lone appearance since the draft came on former star Patriots cornerback Asante Samuel’s podcast in May.
Sanders told Samuel that “what I’m dealing with right now is at a whole other level.”
“I’ve done no media, I’ve done nothing now … for a minute,” Sanders added. “Coming on with you, I ain’t been with nobody for a minute. I’ve lost about 14 pounds, I’m coming back, but I needed this.”
