He should appreciate the cutback in distance, and trainer Bob Baffert often does well on the undercard of big stakes days.

LOWDOWN: No Explaining showed signs of developing into a top turfer last year as a 3-year-old and she returned running at 4, winning a grass allowance at Keeneland making her first start in six months. Trainer Roger Attfield is always dangerous shipping from Canada.

LOWDOWN: Apart came up just short in his first three starts this year. He has been freshened by trainer Al Stall Jr. since finishing second in the New Orleans Handicap and returns in the race that launched Blame’s championship season last year.
