ESPNBOOTS IRVIN
Football analyst Michael Irvin is out at ESPN.
“He will not be returning to ESPN, and we thank him for his contributions and wish him the best,” ABC/ESPN spokesman Josh Krulewitz said yesterday – confirming a story first reported in Friday’s NYP TV Sports.
Friday, the network said it was “in the process of discussing studio assignments for next season.”
Clearly Irvin didn’t make the cut.
The former Cowboy receiver, who had worked for ESPN since 2003, has a long history of drug-related arrests and over-the-top statements.
No replacement has been named, though Bill Parcells’ name has been circulating as a candidate.
