Scott Van Pelt still has lingering effects of COVID-19, but he’s returning to his “SportsCenter” chair.

The ESPN star wrote on Twitter that he’s going back to work Sunday for his midnight show after testing negative for COVID-19. He announced on Dec. 17 that he tested positive.

“Can’t smell. Can’t taste. Don’t need to be able to do either to do a show. I can talk and I tested negative,” Van Pelt said. “See you at midnight.”

Van Pelt, 54, said his inability to smell or taste was what initially prompted him to get tested for COVID-19.

Van Pelt has remained active on Twitter, and 10 days after he announced his positive test he’s returning to TV.
