After a scoreless first quarter, Susan Wagner stopped undefeated Curtis in its own end zone for a safety to take a 2-0 lead in the second. But the home team took over from there, as the Warriors rattled off 26 unanswered points on their way to a 26-10 triumph over the Falcons in PSAL Staten Island action.
James Pon Pon did it all for Curtis (7-0). He caught six passes for 101 yards and a touchdown, ran 98 yards for another score and recorded an interception.
Shayne Diorio had three receptions for 51 yards and a touchdown in the loss for Susan Wagner (4-3).

Also in Staten Island, St. Joseph by-the-Sea jumped out to a 21-0 lead by halftime and cruised to a 35-7 win in Catholic AAA action.
Andrew Armato rushed 32 times for 223 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Vikings (4-2). James Pizzo’s 35-yard touchdown catch accounted for the lone score for the Lions (1-6).

After trailing 6-0 at halftime, St. Peter’s scored 14 points in the third and fourth quarters to come away a non-league win in Staten Island.
Hakim Rice paced St. Peter’s (5-2) with 16 carries for 102 yards and a touchdown, and Dan Fischetti caught three passes for 44 yards and two touchdowns.
Keith Goode scored two touchdowns to lead Cardinal Hayes.

In Brooklyn, Matt Popovic went 5-for-7 for 123 yards and four touchdowns through the air, and added another on the ground to lead New Dorp in non-league action.
Matt Silverman made both of his catches count for the Centrals (4-3), hauling in touchdown passes of 24 and 28 yards, respectively.
Daniel Grant rushed 12 times for 53 yards and a touchdown to supply the offense for James Madison.
