CD FAS president Reynaldo Valle was quoted in Salvadoran newspaper reports today saying the Red Bulls will pay $30,000 to take Alfredo Pacheco on a one-year loan. He added that there is an option to buy at the end of the year, but did not say how much that option was for.

It had previously been reported that FAS was willing to cut such a deal with a $100,000 option to buy, coming up with that figure simply because the last defender they sold to MLS cost that much. But that was back in 1997, so I have no idea if that’s what Pacheco will fetch.
