The Roger Federer-Pete Sampras exhibition tennis battle at the Garden will be formally announced today, with Sampras holding a conference call.

The Post has learned Federer will net $1 million for the exhibition match against retired Pistol Pete, who beat him last year in an exhibition in Asia. It will be the first tennis match at the Garden since the WTA circuit’s season-ending championship departed seven years ago.
