INDIANAPOLIS — Shavonte Zellous scored a season-high 23 points to lead the Indiana Fever to a 78-73 victory over the Liberty last night.

Katie Douglas had 19 points and Tamika Catchings added 14 for the Fever (4-3), who have won four of their last five. Zellous, acquired from Tulsa on May 27, shot 6 for 10 and finished two points shy of her career high.

Cappie Pondexter had 21 points and seven rebounds to lead the Liberty (2-4), who have dropped four of five including a 75-68 loss at Connecticut on Friday night. Taj McWilliams-Franklin added 11 points.
