The wife of disgraced former University of Michigan coach Sherrone Moore frantically called 911 amid fears he was going to kill himself – just before he was arrested over allegations of assault, police audio reveals.

A worried Kelli Moore flagged the concerns about her 39-year-old husband’s spiraling mental health on Wednesday afternoon, with dispatchers telling cops the coach was “suicidal … for losing his job today,” according to a recording obtained by the Detroit News.

The 911 call from Moore’s wife was made soon after another emergency call was placed from the home of his executive assistant, Paige Shiver.

The caller, which has since been confirmed as Shiver, claimed Moore had walked in with a knife and threatened to harm himself, according to the audio.

Both calls came through right before it became public knowledge that Moore had been fired from his high-profile job for having an inappropriate relationship with a staffer, which has also since been confirmed to be Shiver.

As officers sought to track Moore down following the alleged assault, dispatch audio revealed that “was in an unknown parking lot somewhere.”

“We are attempting to have wife contact him to try and come home,” the audio divulged.

Moore was eventually taken into custody just hours after his explosive ouster and booked into the Washtenaw County Jail.
