Fordham has fired men’s basketball coach Tom Pecora after five seasons, the school announced Wednesday morning.
Pecora, who had two years remaining on a contract extension signed in 2012, went 44-106 in five years at Fordham, after assembling a 155-126 mark across nine years at Hofstra. The Rams were 13-69 in the Atlantic 10.
Since making the leap from the Patriot League to the A-10 before the 1995-96 season, the Rams have had one winning season and 12 that have ended in 20-plus losses. The program has fired three coaches and seen one, Nick Macarchuk, leave to initiate the Division I era at Stony Brook in that time.
