The Rangers and Devils played perhaps the most memorable Game 7 in the history of New York sports.

Stephane Matteau’s double-overtime wraparound goal against Martin Brodeur gave the Blueshirts the win on their way to their first Stanley Cup in 54 years. In the Finals the Rangers would need another Game 7 to beat the Canucks. Tonight’s matchup with the Capitals will be the Rangers first Game 7 since that win over Vancouver.
