UPDATE

Sheffield has unveiled an alleged consipiracy. According to “investigative journalist” Gary Sheffield in a GQ article, there is a vast conspiracy to replace black athletes with latino athlets because latinos are more docile.

Former Yankee All-Star Gary Sheffield will be suspended for three days, reports the Detroit Free Press. Sheffield threw a piece of his broken bat in the general direction of home plate umpire Greg Gibson after hitting a grounder.

Sheffield plans to fight the suspension in a novel way: blackmail. He cited video evidence to back up this wild claim, “Once they see the tape, and they still suspend me, then we’re going to talk about this conspiracy that’s going on,” Sheffield said. “If it ain’t no conspiracy, then I shouldn’t be suspended at all.”

This is not Sheffield’s first incident of his career or even of the season. In 2005 after being punched he threw a ball at a fan and then shoved him. This season, after wild 6’9, 275 pound Daniel Cabrera got into an argument with his manager, Jim Leyland, Sheffield charged the field and got into a shoving match with Cabrera.
