Add Gerrit Cole to the list of those who believe Juan Soto deserves to get paid.

The Yankees ace, who is working his way back to rejoin the team’s rotation, had his third-inning interview on Saturday night with the FOX broadcast team briefly interrupted by none other than Juan Soto.

Cole was asked if he had a “Gatorade guy” in the dugout before the camera turned to show the star outfielder, who apparently handed him the thirst quencher.

“It’s a very expensive Gatorade guy,” Cole quipped in response.

Soto was not in the lineup again as he continues to nurse left forearm and elbow soreness.

The Yankees missed Soto’s presence as they fell to the Dodgers for the second straight night, this time suffering an 11-3 blowout.

The superstar outfielder, currently in his first season with the Yankees, left Thursday’s game after a rain delay because of the injury and is expected to miss at least a few more games.

Before missing Friday’s game, Soto had played in every game this season and posted MVP-caliber numbers.

In 64 games, the three-time All-Star has posted a bonkers slash line of .318/.424/.603 with 17 homers and 53 RBIs.

The 25-year-old is set to hit free agency after the season, where he is expected to command a historic deal. 

FOX Sports’ Ken Rosenthal said later in the broadcast “the floor is $500 million” regarding Soto’s likely free agency mega deal.

So when Cole was asked “how expensive” Soto was later in the interview, he quoted a former teammate of the outfielder.

“I’m not gonna sell him short in the words of Bryce Harper,” Cole said, referencing comments the Phillies star made while a member of the Nationals about being offered a possible $400M contract extension.

Cole, who looked dominant during a rehab start this past Tuesday, is scheduled to resume his rehab on Sunday with the Somerset Patriots.

Once he returns, he hopes to also have Soto back in the lineup.

“He delivers the goods, let me tell you,” Cole said. “As advertised.”
