Joe Torre hopes to have Jason Giambi available to DH tonight or tomorrow night when the Yankees face the Tigers for a three-game series at the Stadium.

Giambi has been limited to three pinch-hitting at-bats since June 27 due to an intestinal parasite, the same illness that has Kevin Brown on the shelf. In the eighth inning yesterday, Giambi pinch hit for Felix Heredia with the score at 5-5. He fanned to end the frame, stranding Miguel Cairo on second.
