Giants radio play-by-player Bob Papa is getting back in the ring as part of NBC Sports Network’s new boxing series.

Papa will be the blow-by-blow announcer for NBCSN’s new series on Thursday nights. He will be joined by analyst Shawn Porter, the former welterweight champ, on the programming. The first bout is next Thursday, Nov. 19. Brian Campbell will host the shows, while former HBO producer Curran Bhatia will be the ringside reporter.

The fights are being put on by startup sports media company Ring City USA.

NBCSN will telecast three events in 2020 and 14 in 2021 prior to NBC’s coverage of the Olympics.
