In their continuing effort to remedy Charlie Ward-gate, the Knicks will have the point guard sit down with various Jewish Knick fans to explain his comments and make amends, The Post has learned.

Ward’s controversial remarks prompted a number of the Garden faithful to call the Knick offices this week in protest. One long-time fan, Bruce Cohen of Queens, was contacted on Thursday by GM Scott Layden, who informed him of the team’s plan after the playoffs.

While Cohen is appreciative of the quick response by Layden and the Knicks, he prefers to take a wait-and-see attitude.

“I think it’s a very positive step what the Garden is doing,” Cohen said. “But I’m going to reserve judgment because I want to hear what Charlie has to say. I think the Jewish people in this city have to send a message that we can’t tolerate anti-Semitism and bigotry.”
