Christina Kim is taking extra precaution while traveling to Toledo, Ohio for the first event of the LGPA restart.

After waking up at 4 a.m. for her connecting flight to Charlotte, the three-time LGPA winner took several preventative measures to protect herself from potentially contracting the coronavirus. She dressed herself in a full-body suit, equipped with eye goggles, a face mask and gloves prior to boarding her flight.

During some time before takeoff, Kim engaged with and disputed several Twitter criticisms she received about her protective gear.

“Would rather be silly and overkill than risk flying over and finding out I contracted the virus on the flight,” Kim said, quoting a Tweet from a user. “Pretty simple. I don’t care if I look ridiculous.”

”What is wrong with everyone? It’s not meant to be taken lightly,” Kim, 36, responded to another. “This is not some fashion bulls–t. It’s about safety. Cmon, folks. Act right. Please.”

Prior to the shutdown of the tour over COVID-19 concerns, Kim recorded back-to-back top 10 finishes at the Vic Open and the Australian Open in February.

As she outlined in a tweet, Kim is continuing to take extra precaution during her travels ahead of the LPGA Drive On Championship at Inverness Club.

“Second leg about to get underway! So excited to get closer to Toledo!! Schedule includes:

— Grab/sanitize rental car
— Drive to get COVID test
— Check into Airbnb (remove gear prior to checking in)
— Workout at home
— Grab groceries
— Meal prep for as many days as possible.”
