Golfers have been chasing Tiger for years, but this tale goes too far.

Indian professional golfer Jyoti Randhawa was arrested Wednesday for poaching at a forest reserve, according to the International News.

A top-100 golfer in the world as recently as 2009, the 46-year-old Randhawa was detained at the Dudhwa Tiger Reserve in Uttar Pradesh state after he and a companion reportedly shot and killed a protected red jungle fowl.

Reports also said that Randhawa owns a pack of hunting dogs that were used during a search for a tigress who was killed in the western state of Maharashtra.

According to India Today, an A-22 rifle and other hunting equipment also were seized from Randhawa, whose most recent of eight golf titles on the Asian Tour was a win at the Thailand Open in 2009.
