The golf community may have given up on Tiger Woods, but his ex-girlfriend hasn’t.
Taking a break from the slopes, Lindsey Vonn decided to host a 15-minute Q&A on Twitter on Monday. It didn’t take long before the seasoned skier’s 380,000 followers quizzed her about whether Woods will win another PGA tournament. Her response:
Since splitting with Vonn in May, both Woods’ personal and professional lives have continued to attract negative attention. Following an embarrassing cheating report , suggesting that Woods had been involved with fellow pro Jason Dufner’s then-wife Amanda, the 39-year-old golfer continued his major struggles by failing to make the cut at the British Open last month.
“I think I only made three birdies in two days. That’s not very good,” Woods told reporters before vowing a return to St. Andrews.
“Next time it [the tournament] comes around, hopefully I play a little bit better than I did the last two times.’’
Woods did make some progress by finishing 8-under and in 18th place at the Quicken Loans National last week. He will next tee it up at the season’s final major, the PGA Championship, in two weeks.
