Rory McIlroy should have chartered a jet. Or at least flown Delta.
Returning to Europe following a disappointing performance at the U.S. Open over the weekend, McIlroy landed in Dublin and headed to the baggage claim, but his golf clubs were nowhere to be found. The world No. 6 hoped to have a few full days to prepare for the Irish Open, which starts Thursday.
McIlroy — prominently in the news of late due to his broken engagement with tennis star Caroline Wozniacki — vented his displeasure with United Airlines on Twitter:
