Rory McIlroy is a dad!
On Thursday, the 31-year-old golfer announced the birth of his first child with wife Erica Stoll, daughter Poppy.

“She is the absolute love of our lives,” the proud dad continued. “Mother and baby are doing great. Massive thank you to all the staff at Jupiter Medical Center and Dr Sasha Melendy for their amazing care.”
McIlroy wed Stoll, a former PGA employee, in a star-studded ceremony in April 2017.
McIlroy’s announcement comes a day before the Tour Championship gets underway Friday. McIlroy vowed to leave the season-ending event in Atlanta as soon as he got word that the baby was on the way.
“I’m just waiting for a phone call. I was waiting for a phone call last week and it didn’t come,” McIlroy said, admitting his on-course concentration has waned at times as the due date drew closer.
