Scottie Scheffler's day was truly bananas.

The top-ranked golfer in the world was arrested early Friday morning before the second round of the PGA Championship in Louisville, Kentucky after he allegedly "refused to comply" with local police.

Scheffler, 27, was eventually released from Louisville Metro Corrections and was able to golf on Friday at Valhalla Golf Club, shooting a 5-under 66.

After his whirlwind day, Scheffler spoke about what all went down after his arrest in which he was charged with second-degree assault of a police officer, third-degree criminal mischief, reckless driving and disregarding traffic signals from an officer directing traffic.

Scheffler said that after one police officer helped him calm down and get out of the car before he was booked and fingerprinted, another one asked the golfer if he wanted the "full experience" at the jail.

The four charges filed against the world’s No. 1-ranked golfer Scottie Scheffler, who was arrested during a traffic stop Friday morning in Kentucky, carry a compounding maximum sentence of more than 11 years in jail, according to criminal attorneys surveyed by The Post.

Scheffler might be able to completely avoid jail time, three attorneys not directly involved in the case agreed, but that will be determined by whether he is a first-time offender, the extent of injuries suffered by the arresting officer, available body camera footage and other relevant factors.

The officer who attempted to stop Scheffler from entering Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville – site of this week’s PGA Championship – was dragged to the ground and suffered “pain, swelling and abrasions” to his wrist and knee after the car accelerated, according to a police report.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Chaos ensued at the PGA Championship on a bizarre morning Friday with Scottie Scheffler arrested while trying to drive into the entrance of Valhalla Golf Club to prepare for his second round.

A Louisville police officer was hospitalized on Friday morning after getting dragged by Scottie Scheffler’s car, according to the arrest citation.

Scheffler was arrested after the incident, which occurred outside Valhalla Golf Club and as the world’s No. 1 golfer was attempting to enter the course to prepare for the start of his second round.

Scheffler was charged with second-degree assault of a police officer, third-degree criminal mischief, reckless driving and disregarding signals from officer directing traffic.
