Tiger Woods’ golf game may be a failure, but his latest endeavor is off to a spectacular start.
The golf pro’s new eatery, The Woods Jupiter, officially opened in southern Florida on Monday. Unlike the golf critics Woods has faced this season, patrons of the Sunshine State seemed pleased with the upscale sports bar.
“The Woods is a gorgeous new restaurant,” reviewer R.A. exclaims on Yelp. “This is an excellent restaurant that could give any restaurant in New York or Miami a run for its money.”
While guests are certainly loving the aesthetic of The Woods, the food isn’t so bad either.
“I would consider the Woods as a fine dining sports bar,” writes reviewer Bern N. “I ordered the Ribeye, it was cooked as ordered. The waittress did ask me to check the steak to see if it was cooked as ordered.”
While The Woods’ Yelp page already boasts several five-star ratings, there are a few diners who had less than a stellar experience opening night.
“Hey, how was the Woods? Bad, but the mustard was great,” notes Diane M. of Pompano Beach, Fla. “Overall a major disappointment.”
Should Woods miss the cut during this week’s PGA Championship, at least he’ll have some downtime to work out the restaurant’s kinks.
