Tiger Woods found his rightful spot quickly.

The former No. 1 spent Friday near or at the top of the leaderboard, birdying three of the first four holes and eagling the par-5 ninth to complete a front 9 31 at the Hero Wold Challenge. It was Woods first tournament since February as he has battled back injuries.

Woods stuck his approach at the par-4 fourth hole and rolled in the short putt to finish his early run then knocked his 3-wood onto the green to finish the front 9.

Charley Hoffman and first-round leader Tommy Fleetwood also spent time on top of the leaderboard Friday.
