Phil Mickelson won’t be the only one leaving The Match with some money.

At least some of the people who paid the $19.99 to watch Mickelson face rival Tiger Woods in the winner-take-all match for $9 million will be getting a refund. Comcast and others announced it will return the money after the live stream of the event was available for free on Bleacher Report Live.

“Comcast will proactively issue a $19.99 credit to any Xfinity TV customer who purchased ‘The Match’ pay-per-view event,” the company said in a statement. “We hope Turner and Bleacher Report will do the same given that the event was made available by them for free on The Bleacher Report website.”

Turner also will issue refunds.

“The Match was an historic event, from Tiger’s opening tee shot to Phil’s final putt. Prior to the start of the event, we experienced a technical issue with the B/R Live paywall that we tried to quickly resolve. We decided to take down the paywall to ensure that fans who already purchased the event would not miss any action,” the company said in a statement. “This did not impact the live streaming of the competition and fans were treated to an event that was both engaging and memorable. Unfortunately, the pre-match technical issue did occur, and we will offer fans who purchased the event on B/R Live a refund.”

AT&T – which runs DirecTV and U-Verse — Charter Spectrum, Cox Communications and Dish/Sling TV will also be issuing credits to their customers, according to USA Today.

Mickelson eventually beat Woods in 22 holes to claim the prize money and bragging rights, but not before fans who paid to watch took to social media to voice their anger that others were watching for free.

Turner executives chose to make the event free on Bleacher Report Live after the site’s purchase function broke down to the point where those who bought access to the match had trouble accessing the feed, according to an ESPN report confirmed by The Post’s Andrew Marchand.

It left pay-per-view providers to make things right by their customers.
