John Daly turned 50 years old month and that was noteworthy for a couple of reasons.

1. He won an $150,000 bet from Fuzzy Zoeller, who didn’t think the hard-living Daly would make it to the half-century mark.

2. He now gets to play on the Champions Tour, which means a lot more televised John Daly golf.

That can be good or bad. On Thursday, at the Senior PGA Championship, it was bad.

Daly made a 9 at the par-4 16th at Harbor Shores Golf Club as part of an otherwise respectable round of 75.
