Will Zalatoris and Cameron Young opted for a different form of transportation Friday as traffic continued to build outside Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Ky., ahead of the second round of the PGA Championship.
In footage shared on X by Brian Keogh of the Irish Golf Desk, the two young pros can be seen walking on foot in dreary conditions amid a chaotic start to the morning that included Scottie Scheffler’s stunning arrest and a fatal accident involving a shuttle bus that delayed the start of the tournament.
“Meanwhile, we’re stuck in traffic trying to get it. Will Zalatoris and Cameron Young have opted to walk in. We’re half a mile from the entrance,” Keogh posted shortly before 8 a.m.

Earlier, Scheffler was handcuffed and detained due to a misunderstanding over traffic flow.
The two-time Masters champ had been trying to get around traffic in the wake of the accident, but upon pulling into the course, a police officer began to bang on the side of his car to get him to stop.
ESPN’s Jeff Darlington, who witnessed and filmed the ordeal, described the scene Friday morning on “SportsCenter.”

“When he didn’t stop, the police officer attached himself to the vehicle, Scheffler then traveled another 10 yards before stopping the car. The police officer then grabbed at his arm, attempting to pull him out of the car before Scheffler eventually opened the door, at which point the police officer then pulled Scheffler out of the car, pushed him up against the car and immediately placed him in handcuffs,” Darlington said.
Scheffler was booked at 7:28 a.m. on four charges: second-degree assault of a police officer, third-degree criminal mischief, reckless driving and disregarding signals from officer directing traffic, according to ESPN.

“I feel for the kid, I don’t really know the full details behind it but … he’s literally one of the nicest guys out there, so I know it’s a total misunderstanding behind it all,” Zalatoris said on SiriusXM.
Zalatoris is currently at even on Friday and shot a 71 on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Young is 1-over par in the tournament through five holes on Friday.
Scheffler returned to Valhalla around 9 a.m. on Friday following his arrest and teed off shortly after 10 a.m.
Scheffler birdied the first hole of his second round and is 1-under through five holes after opening the tournament Thursday with a 4-under 67.
