ABC’s Monday Night Football will hire former Fox Sports Net broadcaster Lisa Guerrero to replace sideline reporter Melissa Stark, according to sources.

The 38-year-old Guerrero is best known for her role on the “The Best Damn Sports Show Period!” Before pursuing careers in broadcasting and acting, she was a Los Angeles Rams’ cheerleader two decades ago.

Stark left the network on a one-year maternity leave. She has indicated to some ABC officials that she will not return, choosing instead to pursue a morning news job.

Even though a source said the official announcement – barring a last-minute hiccup – is to come Monday, ABC spokesman Mark Mandel denied that the network is set on Guerrero.

“We have not made any decisions,” Mandel said. “We are not planning any announcement.”
