Herman Edwards said yesterday he hasn’t yet spoken to Wayne Chrebet, his fallen receiver who was placed on injured reserve Monday following another concussion.

“He’s been bombarded by calls,” Edwards said. “I’m going to wait until later on this week, give him some time to ponder his thoughts. He has enough people calling.”

Asked if he had any update on Chrebet’s condition, Edwards said, “No, not really, because I haven’t asked Dr. [Elliot] Pellman, to be quite honest. I just know he’s on the injured list and we’ll go from there. He’s not with us this year. He’s done for the year and now he has to decide what he’s going to do as far as his future goes.”

In current injury news, S Oliver Celestin (knee) is questionable as are Vinny Testaverde (Achilles’) and LB Kenyatta Wright (ankle). DE John Abraham (pectoral injury), WR Laveranues Coles (ribs), RB Cedric Houston (groin) and RG Brandon Moore (pectoral) are all probable.
